Endlich kann ich mich wieder melden! Und wie ihr schon lesen könnt gibt es Neuigkeiten… Meine Flugdaten sind da😍☺️
Zwar stehen sie noch nicht in meinem Online Account, jedoch haben einige von uns schon von ihren Gasteltern die Flugdaten gesagt bekommen, da ihnen diese schon früher mitgeteilt werden 😀
Nun ist also alles “fest”! Am 20. Juli werde ich um 10:20 zunächst nach Düsseldorf und danach direkt nach NYC (Newark) fliegen. Leider fliege ich nicht mit Mimi und all den anderen, die ich schon kennenlernen durfte, jedoch mit (bis jetzt) drei anderen Au Pairs, die am selben Tag mit CC in die USA fliegen 🙂
Außerdem habe ich seit Mittwoch ganz offiziell mein Abitur bestanden und ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden. 😀 Endlich steht meinem großen Traum nichts mehr im Wege und ich kann mich voll und ganz auf die Vorbereitungen konzentrieren, was wirklich noch einiges ist: Abschiedsfeier planen, Gastgeschenke besorgen/fertig stellen, Packlisten schreiben, dann packen und vieles mehr… (da ich mit Lufthansa fliegen werde, kann ich 1 x 23 kg sowie einen Handgepäckskoffer mitnehmen :))
Bald werde ich mich auch nochmal mit Mimi treffen sowie mit dem ganzen “Karlsruhe-Treff-Clan” 😉 Freue mich schon riesig darauf!
Andererseits musste ich mich schon von ein paar Verwandten verabschieden, die ich vor meinem Abflug nicht mehr sehen werde… Ich kann mir wirklich noch nicht vorstellen, bald allen hier zuhause Tschüss sagen zu müssen 😨
Bis dahin kann ich (hoffentlich) noch die gemeinsame Zeit genießen und auch die Vorfreude, die angeblich ja die beste Freude sei ;)☺️ Dabei helfen natürlich auch spontane Skypedates mit meiner Familie, sowie deren derzeitigen Au Pair:)

Finally I can tell you the great news: I have my flight dates!!! 😍
Even if they are not officially written in my online account some of the people arriving with me could ask their host parents about the dates who recieve them earlier 🙂
Now it is sure: on the 20th of July I will depart at 10:20 am firstly stopping in Düsseldorf and then going on to NYC (Newark) 🙂 Until now I know 3 other girls who will fly woth me to NYC 😀
Aditionally I succeded in my final exams so that nothing can hold me back on going to the USA ! 😍 And there are still a lot of things to do: planning my “Saying-Goodbye-Party”, getting and finishing the host family presents, writing packing lists etc… (Flying with Lufthansa I can take a big suitcase with 23 kg and a little one with 8 kg with me) 🙂
Soon I will meet Mimi again and also a meeting with the people from Karlsruhe is planned:):) I already looking forward to it!
On the other hand I will not see some of my relatives again before my departure so I already had to say good bye to some of them … I definitely can’t imagine right now to leave my whole family and friends here (I know I’ve said that before but it really is hard to think about.🙈)
Until then I can hopefully spend the rest of the time with them…. And I can say I’m definitely sooo excited to meet my host family soon! Spontaneous skype calls and talking with the current au pair of my host family are only reinforcing these feelings☺️
